Candidates
Family Party candidates all share a driving desire to put New Zealand families first again in Parliament. They are skilled professionals from a variety of professional and vocational backgrounds and are passionate about applying those skills through central government to make a discernable difference for New Zealand families.
As New Zealand's only Christian party, candidates are derived from a variety of churches and denominations nationwide. They affirm the separation of church and state and freedom of religious choice.
The strategy to target and win seats provides the impetus to ensure that no Party Vote is wasted. Because winning a seat removes the 5% threshold, meaning more pro-family MP's go into Parliament for every percentage point gained, regardless of whether it's over the 5% threshold or not.
