THE FAMILY PARTY was created to re-establish traditional family values and to put families first again in Government. Party policies aim to enhance the social and economic position of all New Zealand families.

• A country does best when its families are healthy and prosperous
• The Government is servant to community with powers limited to the delivery of core services to achieve and maintain a socially just society
• Government functions should not impinge on or compromise the ability of New Zealand families to thrive and prosper independent of the state
• Stable, enduring two-parent families generally provide the best environment for raising children and should be encouraged and supported by Government in every way
• Personal rights and freedoms come with responsibilities to self, family, community and the next generation
• All human life, extending to the unborn child, should be valued and protected by law
